L’UNION is a French association that gathers communications, media, advertising and digital industries through event and creative competitions. In June 2021, they organized the 7th edition of the French-speaking YTC for Climate (Concours Jeunes Talents Francophones de la Publicité) and the 1st English-speaking edition of the online competition.

At a time when global warming seems inevitable and the ecological balance is affected, l’UNION wanted to give young professionals a chance to address impactful messages to the world.
Fighting against climate change is not an option.
23 young professionals under 32 years old from 6 countries [South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Mauritius, Lebanon and UA (Dubai)] teamed up and have been remotely working on designing awareness advertising campaign on climate action.

Participants

They were remotely coached by Ramsey Naja, former Regional Chief Creative Officer at Wunderman Thompson MENA & Africa and provided a total of 10 campaigns. Each team presented their project to the International Jury who selected 4 winners. The award-winning campaigns have been released by Gramica, an African advertising sales agency working in Indian Ocean, that monetizes advertising spaces on local and international medias through programatic bidding.
